Cecil College's highly competitive athletic teams have won state, regional, and national titles. Cecil College's Seahawks boast a long and successful history of athletic accomplishments. Competing in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), our teams have won state, regional, and national titles—and our student—athletes have achieved All-American status and received NJCAA Player of the Year accolades.

Academic Excellence

Cecil College Athletics is committed to providing opportunities to help our student-athletes achieve their goals, as outlined in our Vision & Mission statements. That committed has played out on the field and court and in the classroom. Our student-athletes have won numerous academic awards, including Academic All-American honors. Many have continued their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions, such as:

Seahawk Facts

  • Student-athletes make up 7 percent of our credit annual enrollment
  • Cecil requires a higher GPA than the NJCAA
  • Our student-athletes maintain an average 2.5 GPA
  • The annual retention rate for our student-athletes is about 95-98 percent
