Early Head Start (EHS) is a federally-funded, community-based program for low income families with infants and toddlers, and pregnant women. Its goals are to promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women, enhance the developments of very young children, and promote healthy family functioning. Cecil College and Maryland Family Network have partnered together to offer Early Head Start services to residents of Cecil County.
EHS is free of charge to those who qualify according to federal income guidelines. The program serves prenatal women, children through age 3 and their families.
There are many different Program Options available for EHS; those options include the Adult Basic Education/GED option, the Special Circumstances option, the College Student Option, and the Home-Based Option. For more information on which option fits your needs best, call the Family Education Center at 410-287-1100 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
