Criminal Justice

Students interested in a career in the criminal justice field such as Law Enforcement, Corrections, Paralegal, or Crisis Intervention should consider the Criminal Justice program at Cecil College.

Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Corrections or Law Enforcement at Cecil College. In addition, students may pursue paralegal studies through our General Studies degree partnership with Widener University.

A variety of courses are offered including, but not limited to law, criminal behavior, corrections, investigations and law enforcement. Students interested in pursuing a four-year degree may transfer to a number of area colleges or universities.

Careers in Criminal Justice

Depending on a student's area of interest, many career opportunities exist in the criminal justice field. Employment opportunities exist in such areas as Regional correctional facilities, in differing levels of law enforcement, and with numerous area law offices.
