The Music Program offers two tracks, Music and Music/Voice. Students train in classical and contemporary. Music majors will have opportunities to collaborate with student artists from other disciplines and will perform in a vocal ensemble each semester. Cecil College has an articulation agreement with Towson University (audition required) to facilitate the transfer of credits directly into one of its degree programs. The College is also a member of the Council for Higher Education in Music, which regulates transfer of music credits between two-year and four-year schools. Any music student who completes approved courses, such as Music Theory and Musicianship I-IV, can transfer these credits to any four-year institution that is also a member. Students may take applied music courses at Harford Community College in any instrument not currently offered and apply those credits towards an associate's degree at Cecil College.
