Accelerated Studies

Accelerated Studies for the Adult Professional (ASAP) is designed for the working adult who wants to earn an undergraduate degree while continuing to work full- or part-time. The accelerated degree program offers students flexibility with their busy work schedules. The program provides theory and practice through classroom, on-line and guided experiential experiences in a cohort-learning model. Evening classes are provided for the working adult.

Admission to the Leadership and Management accelerated degree program requires an admission process separate from general admission to Cecil College. Please contact Mrs. Sondra McKeever at 443-674-1944 or smckeever@cecil.edu for more information.

Graduates of the Cecil College Social Work program who have completed their associate’s degree with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher will be granted admission to Salisbury University as a social work major.

However, selection to the Salisbury University’s Social Work Professional Program is determined by the academic competitiveness of each applicant.

In compliance with the Council on Social Work Education's accreditation requirements, a student's admission to the social work professional program occurs during the fall of the student's junior year and requires an overall 2.5 cumulative GPA and a 2.7 cumulative GPA in social work. Only matriculated Salisbury University students in good academic standing can be considered for program acceptance. Specific information regarding requirements for the program can be found in the Social Work Undergraduate Student Handbook.
