Cecil College's Public Safety Department is a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) authorized private provider to submit fingerprints directly to CJIS for the purpose of obtaining criminal history record checks. All fingerprinting is conducted through LiveScan Fingerprinting. Three public safety staff members have been trained and certified by the CJIS in "Techniques of Fingerprinting" and are qualified to fingerprint applicants needing to have their fingerprints taken for background checks for employment or licensing purposes. This service is offered to the public.
Customers are strongly encouraged to call in advance to schedule an appointment to guarantee availability, but walk-ins are accepted.
