Steps in the Transfer Process
- Students should meet with the Transfer Advisor during their first semester of enrolling at Cecil College or soon after taking 12 credits
- Students should begin the research to identify colleges/universities that offer their selected college major of choice
- With respect to identifying a four-year institution, students should take into
consideration the following:
- Location
- Size
- Tuition and Associated Costs
- Scholarship Opportunities
- Financial Aid Process
- On-Campus or Off-Campus Housing Arrangements
- On-Campus Academic Resources
- Student Activities
- Students should work with the Transfer Advisor to develop a transfer curriculum plan to ensure that programs and courses taken at CCC are consistent with the student's transfer goals
- Students must identify the transfer academic admissions requirements, application process, and admissions deadlines for their college/university of choice
