1. What is required for admission to Cecil Community
College?
Any student applying for a credit program or course must submit
an Application for Admission. There is no application fee
required. Prospective students must also submit official copies
of transcripts (high school or college), take any required
skills assessments,
and meet with an academic advisor before registering for classes.
2. How much does it cost to attend Cecil Community
College?

3. How can I make an appointment with an advisor?
Appointments with financial aid, academic, transfer or international

4. What types of programs does Cecil College
offer?
Cecil offers a variety of degree programs, many of which allow
students to transfer the credits they earn to a four-year
institution. Through Cecil's Division of Continuing Education,
we offer non-credit certification programs to help you improve
your work skills, as well as personal enrichment classes to
help you stretch your horizons. Special programs for youth
and seniors are also available. In addition, our high-quality

5. How do I apply for Financial Aid?
In 2002, Cecil students received more than $1 million in grants
and scholarships. The first step in applying for financial
aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA). If you would like to meet with a financial aid

6. When does the semester start and when can I register?

7. Does Cecil College offer GED or ESOL
courses?
Yes, these courses are offered through the Division of Continuing
Education. Please call 410-392-3366 for more information or
to meet with an advisor.
8. How can I request a copy of my transcript?
Students and former students may request academic record transcripts
and Continuing Education non-credit records from the Registrar's
Office. These requests must be made in writing and include
the student's ID number, social security number, and date
of birth. There is no charge for official or unofficial transcripts,
however, all financial obligations to the College must be
cleared before a request will be honored. Transcripts will
not be issued to a third party without the written authorization
of the student.
9. Does the College offer career development and
job placement services?
Yes. Cecil College offers several career education
resources including: the Career Resource Center, individual
career counseling, career assessment tools, job vacancy books,
on-campus recruiting activities such as job fairs, and much
