Cecil College is the recipient of a grant from the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund intended to support students training for a career or re-entering the workforce. Scholarships are available until funds are depleted. Funds available for Spring 2023 semester only. Apply today!

Eligible Courses

Full scholarships are available for the following courses. Each course can lead to an industry-recognized credentialing exam. In addition, these courses apply to credit programs for those who are interested in continuing their education.

How to Apply for the GEER Scholarship

Credit Courses

You must complete the Cecil College Admissions Application (if applicable) and register for the specified course(s) prior to submitting a GEER Scholarship Application. Failure to register prior to form submission will result in the application being declined. For best consideration of funds and confirmation of eligibility, you should inquire in person with our Admissions Office.

To apply for the GEER Scholarship, fill out the Credit GEER Scholarship Interest Form. Once you complete the interest form, you will be emailed the official GEER Scholarship Application. Make sure you use an email address that you check regularly. After submitting the application, it will be forwarded for review.

Non-Credit Programs

If you are interested in eligible non-credit programs such as the Medical Assistant Program (MAP) and would like to apply for the GEER Scholarship, please fill out the Non-Credit GEER Application Interest Form. Once you complete the interest form, you will be emailed the official GEER Scholarship Application. Make sure you use an email address that you check regularly. After submitting the application, it will be forwarded for approval.
