Associate of Applied ScienceEmergency Medical Technology is a rapidly expanding profession involving the
provision of immediate care to the critically ill and injured at the scene of
an emergency, and the transport of these patients to a hospital. The Colleges
program is designed for Cecil County paramedics who are currently certified
in the field. The entry level workforce in Emergency Medical Technology (paramedic)
in Cecil County contains 480 contact hours of theoretical and clinical instruction.
Cecils A.A.S. degree coupled with completion of the Emergency Management Agencys
offerings and subsequent certificates will allow graduates to function in entry
level positions in the field of emergency medical technology. Students who
