NORTH EAST, Md. – The Cecil College Alumni Association is excited to announce the kickoff of its 2024 membership drive, aimed at engaging individuals affiliated with Cecil’s esteemed institution as well as building a unified community.

President of the Cecil College Alumni Association, Joe Shephard, emphasized the pivotal role alumni play in shaping the success of Cecil County and its surrounding areas by saying, “As pillars of industry, civic engagement, and family, Cecil College alumni have left an indelible mark on our region.”

In collaboration with the Cecil College Foundation, the alumni association is dedicated to keeping supporters informed and engaged with the institution’s ongoing endeavors. Shephard noted that the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the importance of keeping alumni connected to Cecil College’s progress and achievements as many Cecil alums were disconnected during those difficult times.

To further cultivate this sense of unity and involvement, the Cecil College Alumni Association is thrilled to announce the upcoming 2024 Spirit Week, scheduled from February 26 to March 1. Events will be held both at the North East and Elkton Station campuses, providing opportunities for alumni to reconnect and celebrate.

Looking ahead, Shephard emphasized, “The association’s ambition is to establish a robust alumni network, where individuals are eager to contribute as ambassadors for Cecil College. By fostering relationships with civic and social organizations and various community groups, the association aims to amplify Cecil College’s impact beyond its campus borders.”

With a shared commitment to excellence and community engagement, the Cecil College Alumni Association invites all current alumni to join in shaping the future of our institution and the communities we serve. To learn more about Cecil College Spirit Week, visit www.cecil.edu/spiritweek.
