Battelle STEM scholarship deadline extended

The Cecil College Foundation has extended the application deadline for the Battelle Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year to Tuesday, Dec. 15. The Battelle STEM award provides four $2,500 scholarships annually to students pursuing studies in the STEM field.

These scholarships target students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields interested in using what they learn in college to improve their communities.

Scholarship Qualifications  

  • Must be a Full-Time student enrolled in the Fall and Spring semesters (12+ credits per semester)
  • Possess a 3.0 or greater cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Must be a Cecil County or Harford County resident
  • Must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words telling the Scholarship Committee about yourself and about the topic “What am I going to do in the world of Science, Engineering, or Mathematics?”
  • Declared major must be in the STEM field
  • Applicants must be available to attend an interview with the Battelle Scholarship Committee
