Alexis Stubblefield signs letter of intent

NORTH EAST, Md. – Cecil College’s Alexis Stubblefield signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s basketball at Goldey-Beacom College for the 2018-19 season. The sophomore guard was accompanied at the signing by her supporters at Cecil College.

Stubblefield transfers to Goldey-Beacom after two successful years as a Lady Seahawk. Stubblefield led her team at Cecil College with 14.1 points per game and an overall record of 23-7 in the 2017-2018 season.

She ended her career as a Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference First Team Selection, an NJCAA Region 20 Division II Champion, the NJCAA Region 20 Division II Tournament MVP, and made a trip to Harrison, Arkansas for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Goldey-Beacom College is a four-year NCAA-sponsored Division II institution and competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Last year the Lightning posted an overall record of 9-19 and 7-12 in CACC action.

Stubblefield graduates from Cecil College with an Associate degree in Business Administration this Spring.
