Health insurance benefits are provided through a self-funded group for county-funded agencies, sponsored by the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County and administered by Care First Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Paid Leave Benefits
- Vacation: Administrators and 12-Month Faculty accrue leave at rate of 20 days per year. Classified staff accrues leave at a rate of 12 days per years at hire, increases with years of service up to a maximum of 20 days.
- Sick: Administrators and 12-Month Faculty accrue 12 days of sick leave per year. 10-Month Faculty accrues 10 days of sick leave per year.
- Holidays: 19 paid holidays per year (this number may vary by 1–2 days depending on when a holiday may fall).
- Personal: 3 days of personal leave per fiscal year. New employees hired on July 1 through December 31 are eligible for 3 days. New employees hired on January 1 through March 31 are eligible for 1.5 days. New employees hired on or after April 1 through June 30 are not eligible for personal days until July 1. 10-Month Faculty only may receive up to 2 days of personal leave per semester for urgent personal business.
- Part-time employees will accrue one (1) hour of earned sick and safe leave ("ESS") for every 30 hours worked beginning on the first day of employment. Part-time employees may earn up to 40 hours of ESS each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30).
Education Benefits
Tuition Waiver
- Full-time employees, their spouse, and dependents are eligible for tuition waiver after being employed for 90 days. Enrollment and eligibility are based on the terms of the Tuition Waiver Policy.
- Part-time employees and adjunct faculty may qualify for tuition waiver for classes taken at Cecil College; eligibility requirements apply.
Tuition Reimbursement
- Tuition reimbursement will be made available to all full-time College employees. Reimbursement will be awarded for approved courses applicable to programs of study that benefit either instruction or job effectiveness at Cecil College. Enrollment and eligibility are based on the terms of the Tuition Reimbursement Policy.
Textbook Reimbursement
- Full-time employees may receive a textbook reimbursement per fiscal year. Such reimbursement is for course-required textbooks payable to employees who are enrolled in credit-division courses at Cecil College or other accredited institutions.
Degree Stipend
- Full-time employees who earn an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree, or doctoral degree from an accredited institution may be recognized with an academic stipend subject to the availability of funds. At least 50% of the instruction for the qualifying degree must be completed after initial employment as a full-time employee with the College.
