NORTH EAST, Md.: The Cecil College Foundation is excited to announce the creation of The North East Club Scholarship that supports Cecil County students. This endowed scholarship fund is designed to help students fulfill their dream of completing an associate degree at Cecil College.

“The North East Club is interested in creating and cultivating a positive environment for Cecil County, and we feel education plays a vital role,” said President Tom Kelly.   “We want to help a student who otherwise would face financial barriers to their growth and achievement.”

The North East Club was founded in 1942 and consists of local business entrepreneurs interested in enhancing the quality of life for Cecil County residents. The social club meets monthly with a guest speaker and discusses how to support events and activities organized by other organizations within the county. The North East Club members support these activities by participating in and promoting them through their networks.

Organizations The North East Club supports include Cecil College, Salute to Cecil County Veterans, the Cecil County Government, CASA, Cecil County Christmas Parade, the Fair Hill Nature Center, local first responders, the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, and a host of other community and governmental initiatives.
